Andrew Baines

Andrew Baines joined Exemplar Global as President and CEO in September 2016, but has a much longer relationship with Exemplar Global having served on the Board of Directors for seven years previously.

Immediately prior to becoming CEO of Exemplar Global, Andrew was managing director of the American Society for Quality’s Global operations. He joined ASQ in January 2015. There he managed ASQ’s operations outside of the U.S. including offices in India, China, the Middle East, and Mexico as well as serving on Exemplar Global Board.

He has over 30 years of experience spanning the food industry, auditing and conformity assessment, international business development and several parts of the world.

Living in New Zealand for the past 28 years, Andrew is originally from the U.K. where he graduated from Dundee University in Scotland with an Honors degree in Microbiology. After graduating, Andrew worked in the food industry in quality control, quality assurance, and product R&D before emigrating to New Zealand where he began a career auditing quality, environmental, and safety management systems. This led to business unit management and senior executive roles in a conformity assessment body, including establishing a New Zealand government-owned agency into one of the largest conformity assessment bodies in the Southern hemisphere. Also in that role, Andrew was responsible for international business development and has experience working in China, South East Asia, the Middle East as well as North America, and Europe.

Andrew has served on advisory and standard setting groups with government agencies.

Lance Bauerfeind

Lance Bauerfeind is a senior consultant and technical specialist in the creative software company Company-X. He has been in the creative media industry for more than 18 years as a videographer, producer, production company manager covering all aspects of creative content development including 2D and 3D animation, eLearning, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).

Lance has and is working with some of New Zealand’s notable companies such as Fisher and Paykel, Westpac, First Gas, and AsureQuality.

Staying on top of current trends in the VR/AR sector but other new emerging  technologies is his primary focus that ensures his clients stay at the forefront of their industries.

LeAnn Chuboff

LeAnn Chuboff has more than 25 years of food service experience specializing in supply chain food safety and quality assurance. Currently, LeAnn is the vice president of technical affairs for the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Institute responsible for the technical elements of the SQF program, including the development, maintenance, and technical support of the SQF Code and supporting materials.

Prior to working at the SQF Institute, LeAnn worked for the National Restaurant Association Solutions as the director of Science and Regulatory Relations. In this role, she was responsible for the technical accuracy of the ServSafe food safety program and developed program and services on food safety and food defense to fit with all segments of the restaurant industry. LeAnn has also worked for Long John Silver’s and Boston Market in corporate quality assurance where she developed food safety and vendor approval program.

LeAnn graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in food science and is active with many organizations including GFSI, the Conference for Food Protection, and the International Association for Food Protection. She sits on several committees in an effort to enhance policy and develop programs for the industry to help protect public health.

Joana dos Guimarães Sá

Joana dos Guimarães Sá is Co-convener of ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Group, an informal group of TC 176, that provides practical advice, examples, and technical background to third-party QMS auditors on how to conduct audits.

Joana is Executive Development Director at Portuguese Certification Body, APCER. Here, she oversees the development of new services and technical updating of existing ones, in the fields of management systems, products, services, and process certification. Quality management systems, innovation management systems, sustainable forest management and chain-of-custody are areas of direct technical responsibility.

Joana has been working in the certification business since 1998 and has been an auditor since 1994. She is currently a lead auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, forest management, and chain of custody for FSC and PEFC.

Craig D’Souza

Craig D’Souza is the Managing Director of iCertify. Craig is an outcomes-oriented business professional delivering business growth and scale through the implementation of a systematic approach to managing an organizations business risks. Craig is an Exemplar Global certified Principal Auditor across the quality, environmental and OH&S disciplines.

Craig has vast knowledge and experience in the development, maintenance, management, and integration of ISO management systems including ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 4801/ ISO 18001 / ISO 45001. He has audited these systems as well as assisted companies in the end-to-end development and compliance of these systems against the relevant ISO standards.

Craig’s knowledge also covers areas relating to risk management (ISO 31000), corporate governance and social responsibility, he has worked across multiple industries including software, transport and logistics, manufacturing, engineering services, government (federal and state), and clean technology.

Wendy Edwards

Wendy Edwards has more than 30 years’ experience as an auditor, consultant, and in-house quality professional, specializing in high and low risk food industries.

In 2014, Edward’s project to transform global operations food safety and quality system was awarded Fonterra’s global “Trust in Source Award”.  In 2018, she was selected by GFSI to join a small global working, the only subject matter expert from the southern hemisphere.

She is currently the head of quality for New Zealand’s largest privately owned fast-moving-consumer-goods company.

Robert Freeman

Robert Freeman is managing director of ACI Assurance, LLC in Dallas, Texas.

Freeman brings his more than 20 years of experience as a management systems and transitional management consultant—having assisted more than 300 organizations with the development and implementation of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems—to his new role at ACI Assurance.

The organizations Freeman has been involved with cover a broad range of sizes and industries and include manufacturing and service organizations from the public and private sectors. His background includes senior-level positions within organizations from both an operations and quality perspective, having served as both a plant manager and as a director of quality.

Freeman was the U.S technical expert on the ISO 9004:2018 revision and is also the SC2 Chair for the United States Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to ISO Technical Committee (TC) 176 – Quality Management and Quality Assurance standards (including ISO 9001 and ISO 9004).  He was a member of Project Committee (PC) 302 – Auditing standard (ISO 19011:2018), having served as the Head of Delegation for the United States for PC302 during the final review of this standard.

 

He is a senior member of the American Society for Quality, having published a number of articles in Quality Progress, and is a certified ISO 9001 lead auditor through Exemplar Global.

Albert” Skip” Greenaway

Albert” Skip” Greenaway is currently Chairman of EAGLE. Under his previous leadership as the President/CEO, since 2005, the company experienced substantial growth including entering the food/agriculture market by offering certification services for food safety management systems. His strong commitment to ISO benefits led to the development of EAGLE’s Management Information System for total automation for accuracy, documentation, and consistency.

Greenaway brings more than 35 years of ownership, leadership, and business management experience to EAGLE. He began his career in the investment banking industry that has sustained his belief in the need to run a profitable organization. This belief led him to adopt ISO as a way to achieve business success. He led the first meat manufacturer in the United States to ISO 9002 certification in 1996. Skip has held positions of owner, president, CEO, and board member of both public and private corporations. He embraces ISO as a management tool and shares his knowledge through speaking engagements and serving on several industry related committees and boards.

Greenaway has a Master of Science from Purdue University in Industrial Administration and a Bachelor of Science from Westminster College in Business Administration.

He is a senior member of the American Society for Quality, having published a number of articles in Quality Progress, and is a certified ISO 9001 lead auditor through Exemplar Global.

Greg Hutchins

Greg Hutchins PE CERM is the founder of Certified Enterprise Risk Manager® (CERM) Academy. Greg’s company was among the first companies in 1987 to provide audit training with one of the first ISO registrars (certification bodies) in North America (AGA Labs). His company was the first approved by Department of Homeland Security for Critical Infrastructure Protection: Forensics, Assurance, Analytics®.  His company has been conducting risk audits for 20 years.

Greg is the author of:

-Value Added Auditing – Risk based auditing book in the quality profession.

-Risk Based Auditing – ISO 19011 risk-based auditing book.

-Supply Chain Risk Management – SCRM book using ISO 31000:2018.

-ISO 31000: 2018 – book explaining the revision of the world’s foremost risk standard.

Sheronda Jeffries

Sheronda Jeffries has more than 20 years’ experience serving as a third-party quality auditor and as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies, specializing in quality management systems implementation and auditing. Her experience spans many industries, including information and communication technologies (ICT), testing laboratories, plus electrical, mechanical, paper and plastic manufacturing.

Jeffries is an industry leader, involved with QuEST Forum—an industry collaboration of companies dedicated to ICT supply chain quality and performance. As QuEST Forum’s representative, she represents the ICT industry at global collaboration organizations including the U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 176 and the U.S. TAG to ISO/PC 302, ISO CASCO STAR, and the IAF, where she serves as a director representing users and industry.

She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from NC A&T State University. She is a QuEST Forum Fellow, a Certified TL 9000 expert, a key developer of the QuEST Forum sanctioned TL 9000 training courses, and a QuEST Forum Supervisory Master Trainer.

As a long-time member of the QuEST Forum Leadership Council, Jeffries co-leads the IGQ Working Group and is a former QuEST Forum Member Representative and multi-year recipient of the QuEST Forum COO/CEO Award. In addition, she is a certified quality auditor, a senior member of ASQ, a charter member of ASQ’s Quality Audit Division and an ASQ Audit Division regional councilor.

Kathryn Lockyer

Kathryn Lockyer has had a varied career, but for the last 26 years she has been involved primarily in the certification and accreditation sectors.

With a food industry background, Lockyer started her career in certification as an auditor specializing in the food sector, due to her dairy industry experience leveraging off her Diploma in Dairy Technology.

For the past 11 years Kathryn has been involved in accreditation activities and since 2014 has been the General Manager Services responsible for all accreditation assessment activities that JAS-ANZ undertakes worldwide. She is also a member of the APAC (Asia Pacific Accreditation Co-operation) MRA MC and is currently Chair of the APAC Technical Committee for Certification. Kathryn still undertakes assessments on occasion and is a Lead Assessor for Management and Product Certification schemes and a Lead Assessor for GHG verification programmes.

Dr. Arash Niavarani

Dr. Arash Niavarani is an experienced and qualified trainer, coach, and consultant of lean six sigma. Dr. Niavarani is the Director of Comprehensive Business Improvement Solutions (CBIS).

He holds his two PhD. degrees in Mechanical Engineering as well as Business IT.

He is an internationally recognized Lean and Six Sigma trainer accredited by ASQ (American Society for Quality), IASSC (International Association for Six Sigma Certification), and Exemplar Global.

He is a qualified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt with more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and service industries as trainer, coach, consultant, and lead auditor.

He has worked with high-profile clients such as Qantas, Toyota, The Good Guys, IAG, Holden, Toll, VicRoads, and Spotless.

Marco A. Pardave

Marco Pardave has more than 40 years of experience in assessing company effectiveness and implementing solutions such as TQM, SQA, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO management systems, and risk assessments. Pardave’s professional achievements include positions such as VP operations, director, manager, consultant, assessor, auditor, trainer, and certification manager.

Pardave has collaborated with international companies, which include Chrysler Corporations, Cotecna Quality Resources, DynCorp Corporations, the National Institute of Nuclear Energy, and Global Supplier Progress Inc.

He is a member or delegate of the International Standardization Organization—ISO and Delegate for USA TAG 302 for the ISO 19011:2018 and Chief of the Mexican Delegation of the STTF- CASCO for the translation to Spanish on processes. He is also a Chief/delegate of the Mexican  and USA TAG 302 delegates to ISO committees ISO TC 176 quality, ISO TC 207 environmental, CASCO;  health informatics ISO TC 215 / and ISO/IEC 27000 Joint Technical Committee ISO/IEC JTC 1, and delegate INLAC to the Subcommittee SC 27, IT Security committees HL7 WG2, having earned an international reputation as an expert in integrated supply chain security management.

Scott Paton

Scott Paton is Global Certification Manager at Exemplar Global. He is responsible for Exemplar Global’s personnel certification and training certification programs.

Paton has worked in the certification and standards area for more than 30 years. He served as editor and publisher of Quality Digest magazine for more than 20 years and later as president of Paton Professional, a publishing and training firm focused on the needs of standards and certification professionals.

Karen Rawson

Key Focus Areas:  Process Improvement, Quality Management, ISO 9001, TL 9000, ISO 27001, Telecommunications

Karen Rawson has helped companies develop and implement efficient, effective processes for over 25 years. As a consultant, manager, and business owner who specializes in serving global corporations in high-technology fields, Karen has supported leadership teams in developing and deploying business strategies that have led to significant improvements in cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.

As VP of The DESARA Group, Karen and her team provide outsourced and co-sourced auditing services as well as customized auditor training to organizations who want to raise the effectiveness of their internal audit programs.

Karen holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from UC Berkeley and an MBA from The University of Dallas and is a Supervisory Master Trainer for TL 9000.

 

Stanley H. Salot Jr.

Stanley Salot is an acknowledged expert in business, quality, environment, and health & safety, process management and has actively participated in U.S. and international industry standards bodies.

Salot is the CEO of Business & Quality Process Management, a company that consults for and trains companies on quality, environment, and health & safety management processes, hazardous material mitigation and avoidance processes, counterfeit product identification and avoidance, and sound business processes.

With his in-depth knowledge of process management, hazardous substance and counterfeit product mitigation and avoidance, Salot has held technical and leadership roles in a number of IECQ and SAE advisory and working groups, including the group which authored and implemented the U.S. standard, EIA/ECCB – 954, which became the international specification for managing hazardous substance processes in the electronic and electrical industries – QC 080000 IECQ HSPM. In addition, he served for ten years as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the ECC Corporation, which serves as the U.S. National Member Body of the U. S. National Committee, International Electro-technical Commission Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components (USNC/IECQ).

Working with electronic industry leaders, Stan organized the Counterfeit Avoidance Mark Alliance, (CAMA®) and the Hazardous Substance Free Mark Alliance, (HSF Mark®) to provide forums for collaboration and common product and process compliance verification.

As a published author and speaker, Mr. Salot contributes articles in national and international technical journals and speaks to audiences around the world in person, on radio, and on internet video shows.

Jackie Stapleton

Jackie Stapleton is the founding director of Auditor Training Online, which is a Registered Training Organization (RTO ID 45123) and an Exemplar Global Recognized Training Provider for courses in management systems auditing.

Auditor Training Online offers online and blended courses to both new and experienced auditors, including:

-Auditing: Management Systems Lead Auditor (AU TL), Management Systems Auditing (AU).

-Management Systems: Quality – ISO 9001, Environmental – ISO 14001, OH&S

-ISO 45001, HACCP, Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Environment and OH&S)

Jackie is also a practicing contracted certification auditor for quality, environment, and OH&S management systems. Jackie leads audits ranging from small to medium enterprises to large global corporations, including commercial, industrial and civil construction, oil and gas, petroleum, infrastructure, utilities, IT and telecommunications companies, and government.

Prior to her contracting roles, Jackie held a number of senior quality and environmental positions in IT and telecommunications companies as well as government-owned utilities and is currently the lead panel member for a JASANZ accredited third-party certification body. She is also an Exemplar Global lead auditor and skill examiner for quality, OHS, and environmental management systems.

She brings all of this experience to the world of training and is passionate about sharing the love for auditing and the benefits of agile and friendly management systems into a business.

Dr Harry van Enckevort

Dr Harry van Enckevort as science and technology advisor to AsureQuality, leads the process to identify and bring relevant new science and technology trends and applications into the organisation and its strategies and planning.

Harry takes a further horizon and pan-company view (being agri-food Inspection, auditing, testing, certification, training, and biosecurity) with incremental, continuous improvement initiatives being a business-as-usual responsibility. He has a science background and interests, which together with a diversity of roles in diverse geographies in forensic, environmental and food science sectors at industry, customer and regulator levels provides a broad context and perspective.

To fully enable the role, Harry partners with AsureQuality’s chief digital officer and the organization’s digital thinking, products and services strategy, to facilitate pilot projects and implement the “What’s possible?” and “What’s needed?” for our customer solutions in a transforming world.

Mike Wilson

Global Head – Ethical Trade and Responsible Sourcing, BRCGS

Mike Wilson joined BRCGS in June 2017 and has overall responsibility for the Global Standard for Ethical Trade and Responsible Sourcing and supporting products.

Wilson has spent the best part of 20 years designing, developing, and delivering a range of assurance solutions for global brands, manufacturers and retailers along their supply chains from primary production through to point of sale.

Having worked at all points within the retail agri-food value chain, he has gained a good understanding of the challenges that exist in the production and delivery of good quality products that meet the ever-increasing demands of discerning customers around the world, and also the risks that exist within the global supply chain.

Joe Wholley
